Porsche Tucson is incredibly proud to offer our 1969 911 E Targa. This vehicle was our 2022 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge entry and participated among the finest cars Stuttgart has ever offered. From being restored in house here in Tucson to being displayed at Werks Reunion in Monterey, we are pleased to announce it’s finally for sale. Completed on June 30th,1969 this example was finished in the vibrant shade of Tangerine (#6608) over Black Leatherette interior (#9822). Other options included tinted and heated rear glass, air conditioning, passenger side mirror, antenna, and a loudspeaker in the dashboard. This vehicle is also numbers matching, retaining its original 2L flat six air cooled Type 901/09 engine and its Type 901/13 five speed manual transaxle. Starting with the exterior, new body panels were purchased from Sierra Madre Collection out in Los Angeles, and the body shell was thoroughly sandblasted and Glasurit single-stage paint was applied with clear coat. Every small detail from the headlights to brake lights to turn signal lenses, even the chrome bumperettes have been replaced as well as four new 14in Hankook Kinergy tires date coded 10/21. The interior was also completely reupholstered with new trim pieces, door cards, new carpets, gauges, and a very unique set of tartan inserts similar to that of a MK7 Volkswagen Golf. An entire COMPLETE teardown of the engine was performed over a period of several months with documentation and photographs and major services were performed but not limited to, replacing the rocker arms, camshafts, oil cooler with all new sending lines, rebuilding the carburetors, rebuilding of the AC system, and a deep cleaning of the fuel system, with fresh seals, grommets, and gaskets for major components. A new clutch and flywheel assembly was also installed as well as a new brake master cylinder with new pads and ventilated rotors, as well as new brake lines on all four corners, as well as new CV shafts and axles, new shocks and springs with bushings all throughout the suspension components. All repairs were compiled into a documented array of repair orders which can be provided upon request. Ready to embark on a thrilling journey with this immaculate Porsche restoration?
